What happened: Snowflake and OpenAI formalized a multi-year, $200 million partnership that embeds OpenAI’s frontier models including GPT-5.2 natively into Snowflake Cortex AI and Snowflake Intelligence, giving more than 12,600 enterprise customers the ability to build AI agents and run natural-language queries directly against their governed data without ever moving it outside the Snowflake environment.
